The Historic Preservation Trust has published several books and pamphlets that chronicle the beautiful architecture of Lancaster County and help educate people as to what may be lost without diligent preservation efforts. In addition, you may order a popular print of a watercolor depiction of the Pequea Valley by noted local artist, John Jarvis or various posters of Lancaster architecture. We maintain an inventory of all items. They may be obtained by visiting the Trust office at 123 N. Prince Street, Lancaster City. Items will also be mailed upon request with the additional shipping cost. Item prices include tax. All purchases help support the preservation work of the Historic Preservation Trust.
The Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County presents their 2008 calendar "Gone But Not Forgotten" as a reminder of lost buildings that aren't there anymore. Local artist Dick Shoemaker has captured many familiar areas of Lancaster County through his sensitive water color paintings reproduced for the Trust's newest calendar in five years. The Historic Preservation Trust of Lancaster County proudly presents Lancaster County Architecture 1700-1850, the first book exclusively focused on the beautiful and distinctive architecture of the county. The 176-page hardbound book is a photographic survey or eighteenth and nineteenth century homes, barns, outbuildings and churches throughout Lancaster County. it is both an attractive coffee table book as well as an informative reference book, making it an excellent gift or wonderful addition to your own collection.
The Garden Spot of America is a historic and cultural treasure of national significance.
